Infinity Kingdom is a cartoon-styled strategy game that became available for iOS and Android in January 2021. In the game, players must defend the land of Norheim against the evil gnomes while protecting themselves from other invading players.

Battles formation works in the following way; 2 front liners and 2 back liners. There is also a special character which is a dragon and it triggers a special skill once or twice per battle depending on its tier and level. Each Immortal has its own mana bar, which fills as they do attacks and triggers their special ability. Immortals are also split by rarity (epic, rare, uncommon, common), troop type (shieldmen, spearmen, bowmen, cavalry), and element (earth, fire, water, wind, holy, and shadow).

Infinity Kingdom (Free, Google Play) →

Outside of battle, you’ll be able to dispatch a series of scouts to investigate nearby Ruins. Within their confines, you can discover Stele Shards which can then be used in your Monument’s to unlock pieces of Norheim’s history alongside a plethora of other rewards that will be useful on your journey to save the realm from the Gnomes.

The early stages of the game might seem peaceful, especially if you have your shields up. However, once other players reach a high enough Castle Level and have amassed enough troops to become a threat, they’ll relieve their boredom by attacking other players on the map. This is just part of the game, so don’t get frustrated if there are players that keep attacking you multiple times a day.

Train Station 2 is a strategy game where you gather resources by train, combine them in factories to make manufactured goods, then deliver them by train again. It’s not a train simulator by any means – more like FarmVille on rails. But it has trains.

Right off the bat you are greeted by George Stephenson himself – who, in case you didn’t know, is renowned as the “father of railways”. He then proceeds to ask you to bring him different types of resources to get started. The tracks are already made, so you only have to tap on a resource location, assign a train to go and grab it, then wait a little while to collect the resource then give it to Stephenson, which prompts another timer to appear.

Train Station 2: Rail Tycoon (Free, Google Play) →

At the beginning, you can only a maximum of 3 trains active at the same time, though this number can be increased by using the premium currency, gems, or by reaching certain levels. When you’ve helped Stephenson enough, other people will also start asking you to deliver them this and that, meaning you will have to start thinking about which train goes where.

There’s no real goal other than to increase your level and unlock more new stuff, but the new stuff doesn’t change anything. It just gets you more stuff at a faster pace. But there’s no automation here. Everything you do has to be initiated by you – you can’t set a train to eternally gather resources until your warehouse is full while you’re away, for example.

But ultimately, TrainStation 2 is a game about waiting. Waiting to get resources, waiting to deliver resources, waiting to craft resources. It all costs time, and there’s nothing to do but watch it happen.

Heroic – Magic Duel is a player vs player card game which involves building a deck of heroes, spells and minions. If you primarily enjoy playing games to come up with effective strategies to take down your enemies, you’ll love playing Heroic- Magic Duel. Especially as it’s possible to defeat formidable enemies using a wide variety of play styles and strategies.

While Heroic – Magic Duel is primarily a player vs player game, it’s still well worth taking part in limited time guild events in order to win rewards. As an example, if you successfully complete guild events you may be given powerful rare cards to add to your deck. Or you may be lucky enough to win new weapons that will increase some of your heroes’ attack stats.

Ah, yes, you will play as a hero in each match, and each has a few skills, a bit like Hearthstone. Here they’re pretty basic, like damage to a section of the field, a push away from your health, or a stun attack to slow enemies down. Using this in conjunction with smart monster play can guarantee your win.

Heroic - Magic Duel (Free, Google Play) →

Here you’ll find similar rules to gameplay and deck building that you’d find anywhere else. You can’t load your deck with too many high-mana monsters, lest you’ll be stuck when summoning. You need stronger creatures too, for a weak party of many can still be chewed through.

If you receive double ups or cards which don’t suit your player style, you’ll have the option of donating them to your guild mates. In return, you’ll also be able to ask your guild mates for spare cards using the in game chat feature. So if you’re already thinking of a strategy to try out, do yourself a favor and download Heroic – Magic Duel now.

Monster Legends is a multiplayer role-playing game where you raise an army of monsters from unhatched eggs into formidable fighters, preparing your beasts for the battlefield from the outset. With hundreds of monsters available (each with a unique skill set) and the ability to breed and create new hybrid species, virtually every player in this robust RPG commands their elite force.

As you progress in your role as Monster Master, you’ll enhance a customized Monster Paradise where your creatures reside in specially-made habitats. It’s on this island where you feed your monsters, facilitate their training, and breed them between heading out to battle or embarking on quests and other mini-games to gain experience and precious loot.

Monster Legends (Free, Google Play) →

All basic monsters have an elemental type (plus thunder, which isn’t an element, but hey) that defines their special abilities and determines what kind of habitat in which they can live. By breeding two types of monsters, say, a fire and an earth, the resulting egg will produce a monster that has abilities from both elements and can live in either one of the habitats. Breeding is simple: just drag the two monsters onto the breeding ground structure and let the magic happen.

There’s more, like the usual social features and the option to challenge other players once you reach level 10, but it’s nothing you haven’t seen before on Facebook. Monster Legends is a kind of by-the-numbers form of entertainment that works if you dig the theme and probably gives you no real joy if you don’t.

The Walking Dead: Survivors is a game set in the grim, zombie-filled future of the comic books. You’re leading a group of humans, fixing up a ruined town and trying to protect yourself from the undead and humans alike.

The game plays out pretty much exactly as you’d expect, not that that’s a bad thing. You’ll spend most of your time gathering resources, building and upgrading your base and training up survivors to make them better at zombie mashing. And then there are the fights.

Players start out with just a few survivors. However, you can’t survive alone. By building the radio tower, players can recruit new survivors to their compound. These survivors can forage for lumber and food within the camps walls. You can also assign them jobs or to formations. Ergo the more survivors you have, the more you can accomplish. Fans of The Walking Dead series will come across some familiar faces as they expand their ranks. Rick, Lori, Carl and Shane are just some of the characters players can recruit. Adding beloved characters to your ranks adds a certain thrill to the game.

The Walking Dead: Survivors (Free, Google Play) →

For fans who know the franchise inside and out, and for those who might have been frustrated by the actions their onscreen heroes might have taken, TWDS allows them to slip into the skins of their favorite characters in the most memorable settings, and find out what would happen if they were in charge.

Fans of the comic book will relish the chance to manage the fate of their favorite heroes and villains, while gamers who enjoy defeating the undead (and who doesn’t?) and playing tower defense games will appreciate the balanced mechanics and solid gameplay.

King of Thieves is a game obsessed with locks. Not because its protagonist is a criminal or its main aim is pilfering, but because they make up the game’s energy system. It’s an odd one, and it makes what should be an enjoyably free hardcore platformer into something a little more staccato.

There’s still fun to be had here, and the multiplayer component, which sees you nabbing loot from other player’s dungeons, is still engaging. Just be prepared to wait or pay more often than you might like.

Essentially, the game is about making it to the goal in each level, as you control a thief who can only really run forward. Said thief will stop at walls and jump up them, with the ability to slide down and jump off, which is their way of turning around. Each level takes place on one screen, so you always know where the enemies and traps are, and can always keep an eye on them as you make it to the end of each level.

King of Thieves (Free, Google Play) →

On its own, while the levels are small and relatively simple, it’s a game that’s very touch-friendly with consistent physics. As well, it’s made by ZeptoLab, and they know production values. For people who tire of free-to-play games that feel like they aren’t based on skill, King of Thieves will impress.

We have a game that emphasizes the best and worst of free-to-play. The game has a lot of cool aspects to it, but so much of it also emphasizes the worst things that monetization can bring to the table. If you have a strong distaste for free-to-play, stay far away from King of Thieves. If not, then the concept is good enough to check it out, even if it’s nowhere near perfect yet.

Kingdom Rush from Armor Games takes the increasingly stale tower defense genre and infuses it with some much-needed wit and good old-fashioned polish. The core experience is familiar – waves of enemies follow a pre-set path, and must be taken out by towers players purchase and place.

The twist is that players can place “Barracks” towers that send footmen onto the field that will battle and slow down enemy creeps. By placing enemy-blocking barracks next to high-powered towers, players can turn the tide in their favor. Although Kingdom Rush only contains four base tower types, each can be upgraded down two separate paths, and can then be customized even further with special abilities. This gives players a surprising amount of versatility, and pays off for those that plan ahead.

Kingdom Rush Tower Defense TD (Free, Google Play) →

In true tower defense fashion, Kingdom Rush: Vengeance escalates the action and micro-management required to successfully clear a map, oftentimes encouraging players to replay older levels to grind out their levels. Players can also purchase additional premium hero characters and towers that offer unique abilities and boons that can’t be found anywhere else. Those who may be apprehensive or against the notion of in-game purchases should consider the fact that Ironhide studios made all their premium content actually feel premium, not only helping players best some of the tougher levels but legitimately expanding the base experience of the game.

Ultimately, Kingdom Rush provides players with a competent tower defense title that stands out from the saturated genre thanks to its colourful art style, quirky story beats and its role-reversal on good versus evil.

In the endless war between the plants and the zombies, the greatest battle begins. Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville updates the formula from the Garden Warfare series and adds a compelling PvE element and a boatload of the series’ signature brand of humor. It has its shortcomings, including some technical hiccups and a convoluted economy, but Battle for Neighborville’s wealth of gameplay options add up to a delightful and family-friendly alternative.

The Plants vs Zombies series has come a long way from its roots as a mobile tower defense game, with the Garden Warfare sub-series arguably eclipsing the main titles in popularity in recent years. Though the title is different, make no mistake: Battle for Neighborville is essentially Garden Warfare 3, and builds off the foundation laid by the previous titles.

Plants vs. Zombies™ (Free, Google Play) →

There are three characters locked at the start of the game you have to purchase with in-game gold, one on the Plant side and two on the Zombie side, the only other things to buy are cosmetics like skins, hats, and shoes. Once you’ve had your fill of the single player, you can duke it out against the other team in several PvP modes. These include Team Vanquish, where the first team to 50 kills wins, Vanquish Confirmed, where you need to grab an enemy’s orb after defeating them, Suburbination, a standard point control mode, Gnome Bomb, where you need to destroy the other team’s three areas by planting a bomb, Turf Takeover, where one team defends an expanding map from the other, and Battle Arena, a deathmatch mode.

There are more refined shooters out there, but Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is one that offers large helpings of kid-friendly, easy-to-pick up fun. Fans of its high-energy art style and humor, in particular, will find a lot to keep them entertained for a long time.

The premise of Among Us is simple enough that just about anyone can pick it up quickly: eight crew members dash around a claustrophobic, cartoon spaceship to complete simple minigames and fill up a shared progress bar. But among them are two hidden impostors with the goal of secretly murdering everyone until they equal or outnumber the crew and claim victory.

And yet, like so many excellent multiplayer games, it’s very tricky to master because it’s about fooling real people, not gaming an AI. You can’t even fall back on the same successful strategies too often or your opponents will catch on, so sometimes you have to mix things up and maybe even act illogically to keep them guessing.

Among Us (Free, Google Play) →

The only catch is that players are only allowed to talk to each other during emergency meetings, which only happens after a body of a slain Crewmate is found and reported or someone presses the emergency meeting button (each player can only press the button once per game, depending on your settings). During a meeting, players discuss what they’ve seen and vote to either kick out a suspicious player or continue on without an elimination. However, Imposters will try their best to convince the other players that they’re one of the good guys, so players must use logic to see beyond the deception and make the right choices. Sounds fun, right?

Since the game is easy enough to learn and fun for adults too, you may want to try playing as a family first to see how your kid manages before letting them play online with friends. If it’s too intense—which it can be at times, with the background music and sound effects—you’ll be there to comfort them. And you can chat about things like why it’s OK to lie during a game but not OK in other circumstances. Plus, in a family setting, kids would be able to decide whether they want to continue playing without having to fear repercussions from their peers.

This means you can control the whole game by using only one of your fingers. And there are songs of different types available. So it is impossible for you to become bored with this game.

On the contrary, it is very likely for you to become addicted to this game because maybe you just want to try some songs of different styles to get different experiences. The main thing is that your ball will smash through circles that block its way. However, you must not hit circles with different colors.
